I was hired as a wedding singer in Todmorden by Tammy and Stuart in April 2017. They held their wedding at Todmorden Unitarian Church and went on to the Fielden Centre afterwards. There’s was a DIY wedding so they had worked together as two families to bring the day together. The service was held at the gorgeous Grade 1 listed building at Todmorden Unitarian Church where I sang Tammy down the aisle and provided music for their drinks reception in the beautiful grounds.
I went to the Fielden Centre to set up immediately afterwards and provided background music as guests arrived and microphone for speeches. The venue is a lovely stone building that is used as a community centre. The architecture is steeped in history and it has a rustic feel. It is essentially a blank canvas for weddings and Tammy and Stuart had draped the ceilings, brought in a mobile bar and even made their own photo booth.
